Tag Heuer has decided to drop the star golfer Tiger Woods as an endorser. The Swiss watchmaker follows similar moves by Accenture and Gilette following news of his extramarital affairs and decision to take a leave from golf.

Talking to a Swiss newspaper, Tag Heuer CEO Jean-Christophe Babain said "We recognize Tiger Woods as a great sportsman, but we have to take account of the sensitivity of some consumers in relation to recent events."
