Zhang Zhiyong, Li Ning Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director said," Li Ning sales increase 43% during the period of Beijing Olympic Games, and the sales increase 51% in the Olympic association cities, ie Qinhuangdao, Qingdao, Shenyang, Tianjin, Shanghai and Hong Kong."
Lining Retail Stores up to 10 Thousand in 2013
Zhang Zhiyong also said," Li Ning actively develop the domestic and abroad business, and expect Lining retail stores will be 10 thousand in 2013, the abroad avenue will increase and become one of the world’s five great sport brands. Though the Olympic Games ends in Beijing, there are lots of sports event held in China and the business is very optimistic."
Develop European and Middle East Market
Chen Wei, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Lin Ning, said," We plan to make Li Ning retail stores 10 thousand in 2013. There are 5800 Li Ning stores till the end of June 2008 and will be 6200 at the end of 2008."
As to the abroad business development, the international business of Lining focus on Europe and Middle East, which avenue account for 1.1% of the total. Li Ning acquired Chinese famous sports brand Double Happiness in July, and do not plan to acquire other brands at present.
