The world economic crisis can’t seem slow down Nike’s expansion in China market. In recent, the world leading sports goods giant announced it would build the Asian biggest distribution center in Taicang city, Jiangsu province in order to further expand its market in China.
   
The aggregate investment of the distribution center will reach 99 million whose scale that will surpass Tomisato’s in Japan and Inchon’s in South Korea, become the largest distribution center in Asian.
It is said that the distribution center locates at Taicang Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu with a total area of 120,000square meters. The first-stage construction will be used for sorting out, distributing and dispatching shoes, apparel and equipment. Considering to Nike’s further development in China, the distribution center can be expanded to meet new demands if needed. It starts to build in this spring, will go into service in late 2010. The whole first first-stage construction will be finished in the second quarter of 2011.
