ANTA Will Set up 600 Stores in China in 2008

In 2007, the net profit of ANTA increases 2.3 times to 480 billion RMB. Lai Shixian, the Chief Operating Officer of ANTA said ANTA will set up 600 stores in 2008, then there are 5300 ANTA stores in China.
 
In 2007, ANTA set up 608 stores, and the operation incomes increased 1.5 times compared with the same time of 2006. The sales of sport shoes ranks first in Chinese sport market, reaching 18.3 billion pairs. The Chinese sport shoes market is potential. Lai Shixian said,"Now, everyone in China owns 0.1 pair ANTA sport shoes. If everyone owns 1 pair, and the sales will increase 10 times. ANTA is to be the popular brand. Now, the sport shoes manufacture capacity is seven times of the current sales."

The profit of ANTA will increase because ANTA sales increases with the popular reputation. The ex-factory price accounts for 41.5%-43% of the retail price, the price is reasonable, therefore the retailers would like to sell ANTA goods.

In addition to manufacture the sport shoes, ANTA positively develops the clothes which makes the products diversification and the whole gross profit increase. The clothes sales account for 13.2% of the whole in 2004, 40% in 2007.
