The Mount Everest Team of 2008 Olympic Torch Arrived the Training Base- Hengye Natatorium, Yunnan Province

At 7:49,Dec 12, 31 China Mountaineer Team arrived Kunming. They prepared for 50-days-training in order to pass 2008 Olympic torch on Mount Everest. This team is constituted of 21 mountainees and 10 college students.
 
Because they arrived Yunnan very early, only a few of reporters and reception staff met them. And the team went to the training base quickly. After a short rest, they went out of the rooms to look around the new training environment. Taking full advantage of the surrounding terrain, they started 50-days-training, ie Physical training, trekking and mountain-climbing from 12th.
They Went to Yunnan by Train for 40 Hours. At First Breakfast in Yunnan, the Team Ate 10 Kilograms of Rice Vermicelli.

Coach Luoshen: Kunming Is Suitable for Mountaineering Training
Luoshen said the team climbed Mount Everest successfully in May,2007, then had a good rest. The team were trained in three stages in Beijing on Sep 4.
31 players in 3 groups, and started to training 6 days per week. In the first month, the training content is mainly including walking, mountain-climbing, comprehensive training, long-distance running and strength training. In the third stage of training, they will rehearse some details of the torch relay and solve all the problems.
The Team Feel like Home in Yunnan
When the team arrived Kunming, they feel very warm instead of strange. The sky is very blue like Tibet.
The Team Is like New Soldiers
In Kunming station, upon they got out of the train, they just queued up quickly just like new soldiers. After allotting the rooms, the team went to the dinning hall to have breakfast. There, they queued up consciously without orders. They also put away the tableware after breakfast. What they did is nor different from the soldiers.
