nuun, the world’s leading electrolyte enhanced sports hydration drink, is proud to be part of Team Jordan. On May 22, at 15:46 hrs, 8850m Jordan Romero, 13, found his place in the time-line of Mt. Everest. Following in the footsteps of the pioneers George Mallory and Sir Edmund Hilary, while trumping Temba Tseri, 16, of Nepal, Romero’s quest to climb the world’s highest summits and the youngest climber of Mt. Everest is becoming a reality.
nuun, saw no mountain too high for Jordan Romero and his summit team. With the Tibetan plateau at their feet and the parting clouds at eye level, Jordan, his father Paul, and Step-mom Karen Landgren stood solo upon the summit block of the North-East ridge of Everest. A great feat no matter what age you are.
“We are a team, and together we will find our synergy and step together towards the summit. We’ve trained our minds for the difficulties and emotions that the mountain will give to us. We’ve trained our bodies for the physical challenges that the mountain will share. We’ve opened our souls to the mountain”, shares Paul Romero.
nuun has been committed to stamina and endurance for nine years. This dedication to world class athletes with world class aspirations has been their vision from the beginning. nuun’s commitment to Team Jordan, exemplifies it’s belief in active-hydration on every corner of the world, or in this case, the highest corner.
"Every step I take is finally toward the biggest goal of my life, to stand on top of the world," said Jordan Romero, May 18th, Everest Base Camp.
