Asia Outdoor Industry Design Award Presented in Nanjing

After 2 days of serious judge, 21 entries stand out and win the gold, ECO and silver award. There are 2 gold winners, 1 ECO winner and 18 silver winners, covering apparel, tent, sleeping bag, shoes, mountaineering equipment and accessories.

21 entries among 99 products are displayed under the spotlight at Asia Outdoor 2010 fair ground from July 28. 2 products with a high grade of innovation win gold award, 1 product made of particularly environmentally friendly materials got the Eco award.The winners of the Asia Outdoor Industry Design Award 2010 are honored on the first day of the show.

As Asia Outdoor’s cooperator, European OutDoor’s OutDoor Industry Award has played an important role and enjoyed a long History in the European Outdoor show. Within the last 5 years the European Outdoor Award comes to the Number One of worldwide watched Awards in the Outdoor Industry.?

For the o utdoor industry, the Award has developed into an important marketing tool. Winning a silver or Gold European outdoor award turns to be a helpful sales support for all brands. However creative Chinese or generally Asian brands hardly attended the European Award election in the past years. In this situation the Asia Outdoor Trade Show create the 1st Asia Outdoor Industry & Design Award.All exhibitors of Asia Outdoor as well as companies outside the fair get the chance attend this award election.

For the 1st Asia Outdoor Industry Award, the organizer use the long term experience and strong regulation from Germany and European Outdoor Awards from European Outdoor show. Therefore 3 famous Design Experts from the Jiangsu Industrial Design Academy attend the jury.

Secretary-general of JSIDA, Director of design arts of Nanjing University of Science and Technology
Judge of domestic design competitions.

The judges of 4 Outdoor experts are:

Bao Yi Fei, Shanghai; Mountain Guide, as a mountaineering expert.

Yan Wei Beijing; Product manager from Sanfo, represent the aspects from the Buyer
side.

Du Mingrui, Beijing; Editor of Outside Magazine, represent the press.

Knut Jaeger , senior expert of the judge. The German bring in 35 years product
experience and coordinate the Judge team.

For the Award, the jury judge the products by using a point system. Every Judge vote? according the different criteria. The result finds itself out from the mix of all 7 results.
This system guarantee a high rate of neutrality. All members of the jury are obliged to the most severe confidentiality.

The winners of the 1st Asia outdoor Awards are announced on the occasion of a Ceremony on July 28th.
