Mt Qipan is located in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning province, the ice and snow resource is very rich, which attracts lots of ski enthusiasts every winter. Now, Mt Qipan is working for the ice and snow festival and makes it the largest snow festival in China.

In recent years, Shenyang tries to make the first-rate snow sculpture works. In 2005 and 2006, the snow sculpture works break the Guinness World Record. 110 snow sculptures and 36 ice sculptures at 2008 International Ice and Snow Festival, the quantity is more than before and the quality is improved.

The skiing is the casual lifestyle in Shengyang, the skiing population increases year by year. Mt Qipan is also the place to travel, recreate, fitness and leisure. During 2008 Spring Festival, more than 50,000 people visited Mt Qipan, but more than 1 million tourists visited Mt Qipan during the ice and snow festival.

With the natural advantage, Mt Qipan builds "the Kingdom of snow and ice", the mountain is the natural skiing resort, the vast lake is the nature ice rink where people can ice-skating and motor cycling.  The ski fans can enjoy colorful ice and snow funs at Mt Qipan.
