After half year’s selection, 20 person won from tens of thousands of mountaineering amateurs. They start training in Kunming mountaineering training base. Therefore, China First "Grassroot" Everest Mountaineering Team is established. They will climb the Everest along the route of Olympic torch relay in April 2008.

It is reported that these 20 person experienced 3 rounds of selection. And they form Kelon Mountaineering Team. They will accept strict training in Kunming, and 10 of them will go to Tibet to accept professional and skilled training. Further strengthen the physical, professional knowledge, mountaineering skills, and they prepare for climbing the Mount Everest in Tibet. They will climb the Everest with the Tibet mountaineering team along the route of Olympic torch relay and will witness the historic moment of Olympic Torch burning in the Summit of the World.

According to coach Luo of Tibet mountaineer team, the team training determines the success or failure of mountain-climbing for 2008 Everest torch task. Therefore, the Kelon Mountaineering Team accepts the same training with Tibet mountaineering team in Kunning which is very decisive to climb the Everest. 

Tibet Sport Bureau official told the repoter:ã€we do our efforts to prepare it with Kelon, and we are very gratified to see the Mountaineering Team is officially established and starts training today. Tibet Sport Bureau gives full recognition to Kelon’s support for Olympic torch relay. I wish more and more enterprises invest into Tibet sport construction.〞

The Kelon team said to the reporter:ã€we are confident to climb the Everest and complete the climbing-Everest task with the Tibet mountaineering coach instruction.〞
