At 2 pm December 20, First Wuhan Mountaineering Association Council was grandly held in Xieli Hotel Hankou city. The Secretary – General of the Association hosted and read out the Mountaineering Regulations, the Social Sports Center Chairman of Wuhan Sports Bureau Gaofeng made speech on behalf of Preparatory Committee, the vice-chairman Zhangming read Bureau of Civil Affairs’ 2007  No .132 approval text for Wuhan Mountaineering Associations. Deputy Director of Hubei province Sports Bureau Wang Shenshun, former leader Hanyong, consultant Liu Shuqing presented to celebrate Wuhan Mountaineering Association founding as the 26th single sports federation. 

This Congress passed the list of executive director, president, vice presidents, the Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General , established the Outdoor Promotion Department, Propaganda Department, Safety Rescue Department and other departments and held the first Council.

Its founding is propitious to direct and promote Wuhan outdoor sports’optimum development, unite all outdoor sports fans, professionals and others caring and supporting Wuhan outdoor sports , develop here public climbing sports widespread, improve mountaineering competition level and enhance the relationship and friendship with home and broad mountaineering industry.
