At Ispo China 2009, the Italian brand Colmar will show its 2009/2010 new winter collection involving latest styles, colors and techniques solution.

 

Manifattura Mario Colombo & C. SPA was founded in Monza in 1923 by Mario Colombo. In its first ten years production was based on felt hats and trousers, and then focused on work clothes. Immediately after the war, with the resumption and growth of sport, the company began to specialise in sportswear and skiwear in particular.

The Colmar brand came into being. Working in close collaboration with the Federazione Italiana Sport Invernali (FISI), athletes and ski instructors, the brand quickly became well-known and respected as a manufacturer of leading high tech clothing, promoting and sponsoring (an unknown term at the time) competitions and events.

This very collaboration with FISI, in the run-up to the Olympic Games in 1952, led to the company’s outfitting of the Italian ski team. On that occasion, the first aerodynamic windbreaker, the famous "guaina Colò", was designed with Zeno Colò, a legendary champion of the time.

From this time onwards and for forty years, Colmar was to outfit the national alpine and Nordic ski teams as well as those from other disciplines such as bobsleighing, ski jumping and the luge.

Today, Colmar is abreast with all the most recent innovations in the sector and is the leading company in the ski market. The Colmar range is distributed in the main European and international markets.

As the sponsor of Ski World Cup, Colmar has prepared to expand Chinese market with the improving international impact, hoping to find loyal cooperation partner to explore to do it through Ispo China.
