The North Face®/ Black Diamond Yangshuo Climbing Festival fells the curtain successfully in Yangshuo, Guangxi province on November 2, it is held from October 31 to November 2. Some top climbing athletes participate in this climbing festival, Cedar Wright, James Pearson, Kate Rutherford, Liu Yongbang and Xie Weicheng.

On November 1, Chinese climbing athlete Liu Yongbang wins the champion of Men’s Points Race with the highest points 121, Scott Mrltoa from Canada wins the second with 100, and  Lans Hansen from Finland wins the third with 73. Aksandra Przybysz from Poland wins the champion of the Women’s Points Race with 83, Chinese athlete Li Fengdi takes the second with 82, and Chinese athlete Xiao Ting wins the third with 52.

Athlete Liu Yongbang

On November 2, Liu Yongbang wins the champion of the Men’s Lead Race, British athlete James Pearson takes the second, and Chinese athlete Pao Di takes the third. Aksandra Przybysz wins the champion, Miranda wins the second, Liu Binqing takes the third and American athlete Kate Ruther takes the fourth.

 The goal of the festival is to promote the rock-climbing development in China. The festival organizers will donate to some Yangshuo climbing schools.

About Yangshuo 

Yangshuo, located in Guangxi Province, a famous scenic spot. American Climber Todd Skinner arrived in Yangshuo in 1992 and found a number of classic routes on Moon Hill, from then there attracts a lot of climbing fans. Then, Yangshuo becomes China’s famous climbing place, there are more than 250 5.7 to 5.13d routes. The famous climbing routes are Moon Hill, Low Mountain, Twin Gate, Baby Frog, Bamboo Grove and Wine Bottle.
